It was a try-fest at Rubislaw on Saturday as the 1st XV ran in 15 tries in this National League Div 3 fixture. It was a glorious day for fast, running rugby and AGR used the conditions to full effect.
Tries from Jack Burnett, John Gamba, Dan Blake (2), Craig Shepherd, Scott Byars, Yasseen Ahmanache, Ben Renton and Seamus Gilmartin gave AGR a 61-12 lead at half time. Dan McElderry converted 8 of those 9 first half tries.
The second half continued in similar vein with tries from Mike Mair, Ben Renton, John Gamba, Scott Byars (2) and Dan Blake. Dan McElderry converted 3 of these tries while Mike Mair slotted 2 of his own.
A good day at the office which elevated AGR to 3rd in the league table on points difference, with an important away fixture at Howe of Fife next up.
