We are looking for volunteers to assist in the operation of the Club, which is going through a period of growth, as we formulate plans for facility enhancement and further community engagement. The Club currently has over 300 players across the age spectrum of 5 to 40, including an ever-increasing number of girls. They in turn are connected with 700 parents, partners and senior non-playing members. We are looking to enhance everyone’s enjoyment of the Club and encourage its future growth and robustness.
Volunteer 1 – Treasurer
Our existing Treasurer has indicated that due to work-related duties and other life events he requires to pass on the role. The role is to act as an interface with our Accountants, control the bank account, pay invoices, raise a small number of invoices and report to the Chairs of the Board of Directors and General Committee. The incoming volunteer would be expected to attend the General Committee as a voting member.
The suitable applicant should be willing to commit approximately 3 hrs per week to the role, attend six meetings per annum, forward documentation to our accountants and assist the Board/General Committee with financial projections.
In return they will be part of a thriving organisation, with a clear focus on developing the Club and Rugby in the North East of Scotland. Two tickets for a Scotland home international of their choice per season will be provided.
Volunteer 2 – Events Co-Ordinator
With over 1000 persons connected to the club we require to find a suitable person or persons who can undertake the organising of various events to raise funds for the Club on an ongoing basis. These can range from black tie dinners to family fun days, raffles, 100 club etc. Two tickets for a Scotland international of their choice per season will be provided.
If the person or persons also wish take on the role of Sponsorship Co-ordinator for the Club this can be added to the role and a commission for new sponsorship would be paid on receipt of funds. This would be subject to a Service Level Agreement with the Club.
