As some of you may know, the P1-P3 minis coaches are planning a sponsored hill climb on Saturday 22nd February, to be led by our very own Mike Kearney. We are climbing two munros in the day, covering many miles on a potentially snowy day and looking to conquer them in time for the England v Scotland game at Twickenham!
The objective is to raise as much funds as possible for minis kit....almost all of the current kit is older than the kids themselves! We tend to look the poor relation at festivals as we often lack kit, a team flag and a gazebo.
Our club, like many others, has found it a challenge to raise funding since Covid and we are therefore appealing directly for your help personally.....and also potentially from the businesses that you work for.
As well as the festival kit, we urgently need to upgrade our Sunday training sessions. You will see balls dated 2015 with little grip left, cracked cones and a shortage of bibs .... unfortunately we’re often using shopping bags to carry around some of the kit. The new poles and red balls have already been subsidised by the coaches however we'd like to add more training aids to help develop the kids further.
We’re looking to raise as much as we can, but a target of £3,000 is our goal based on the known cost of the required kit.
