Aberdeen Grammar Rugby is delighted to advise our membership of the appointment of former player Matt "Tatsie" Taylor as the new defence coach of the Australian Wallabies.
Australian-born to Scottish parents from Dunfermline, Tatsie played in the successful Grammar team of 1999/2000. His impressive performances that season led to a contract offer from Edinburgh Rugby, followed by Border Reivers and Exeter Chiefs.
After retiring from playing, he became the defence coach for the Queensland Reds side which won the Super Rugby competition in 2011. In 2012 he returned to Scotland as defence coach for Glasgow Warriors and latterly for Scotland. We wish him well in his new position.
