Aberdeen Grammar managed to bank a 5 point haul against a competitive Kelso side at Rubislaw on Saturday. Playing downhill with the wind in the first half, Grammar racked up a 14 point lead despite leaking a try just before half-time.
After the break, Kelso levelled the game with two converted tries but a late Grant Walker try saw Grammar run out 25-22 winners.
The 2XV lost 19-59 to a strong Stirling County team. The 3XV had the weekend off.
Photos from the game and Jack Nixon's P&J match report will be posted on Monday.
