Aberdeen Grammar Rugby are looking to recruit Lead Youth Coaches for our u16 and u18 male squads for Season 2024/25. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to engage with Youth Rugby.
Aberdeen Grammar Rugby seek to recruit two enthusiastic persons to join our established team to take the role of Lead Youth Coaches for our male u16 and u18 squads respectively.
The Lead Youth Coaches primarily support the Head Coach and the integrated Coaching team to lead the development of our Youth (U16 and U18) players for Season 2024/25. Suitable coaches will have enthusiasm, drive and commitment, along with the ability to motivate, challenge, and develop further youth players. Coaches will:
• Be enthusiastic in all aspects of the game of Rugby
• Learn and apply knowledge of core rugby skills, tactics, position specific techniques and match play strategies.
• Commit to planning and orchestrating relevant youth training sessions and games
• Follow the strategic game plan for the Club as implemented by the Head Coach.
• Select teams for all matches in line with the club selection criteria.
• Liaise with the Specialist Coaching team and Director of Rugby.
• Hold a UKCC Level 1 or be willing to work towards UKCC Level 1 (or equivalent) Rugby Qualification.
• Work within the Club Development Plan.
Additional key requirements will be to;
• Ensure that Aberdeen Grammar Rugby is a welcoming and safe environment for all players at all stages of the game.
• Conduct themselves in a safe and responsible manner while adhering to the club’s core values.
• Have the ability to motivate, inspire and encourage youth players to reach their full potential.
• Encourage, monitor and report on individual player development.
• Foster an environment where players represent the club at all times in accordance with the club values.
• Attend relevant CPD opportunities to enhance their role.
