AGR Minis - Get Involved

AGR has 2 exciting volunteer opportunities within its Minis section (P1-P7) for the upcoming Season 2025/26.

These important positions would suit anyone looking to get involved in the club and who does not have a current role in the Minis section.

1. MINIS CO-ORDINATOR

Whilst not directly involved in coaching activities, the Minis Co-ordinator is the focal point for all the Minis coaches at the club.

Primary duties are to address all :

  • Minis coaching matters in conjunction with the club's Director of Rugby
  • Child Protection requirements with the club’s Child Protection Officer
  • Equipment and kit requirements with the Minis coaches and Kit Convenor
  • Minis sponsorship and fundraising opportunities with the club's Sponsorship Officer

In addition the Minis Co-ordinator will:

  • Sit on the club's General Committee (meetings every 2-3 months plus annual AGM) and promote the Minis section within the club.
  • Set and review the Minis budget(s) for the year.
  • Co-ordinate the 2 main Minis events of the season: Open Day in September and the Minis tournament in April.
  • Co-ordinate player recruitment efforts at school fairs etc

2. MINIS FIXTURES SECRETARY

The Minis Fixtures Secretary is the club's point of contact for the Minis fixtures, festivals and tournaments.

Primary duties include:

  • Coordinate joint training and fixtures for any year groups as required/requested through the season.
  • Set AGR's Mini Festival date (in consultation with Minis Co-ordinator above) and communicate with visiting clubs.
  • Prepare and issue the AGR Minis Festival welcome pack, pitch layout and fixture lists.
  • Arrange AGR festival first aid requirements.
  • Coordinate entries into other club's festivals/tournaments with AGR year group admins and provide those admins with welcome packs & fixture lists.
