It was a thrilling end-to-end encounter at Rubislaw on Saturday where the sides shared 12 tries, but more importantly, AGR secured the bonus point victory which lifts them up to 4th position in National League Division 3.
An early penalty kicked by Dan McElderry and 3 tries from Jack Geddes, Scott Byars and A.N. Other, 2 of them also converted by Dan McElderry, gave Grammar a 22-19 lead at half time.
Dumfries were quicker out the blocks after half time giving them a 22-26 lead however Grammar responded well and finished the stronger team, notching up 4 more tries in the process through Scott Byars, Dan McElderry (a "lung buster" from his own 22!), A.N. Other and Daniel Blake. 2 of these tries were converted by Dan McElderry.
Big shout out to the vocal "AGR U15 Ultras" who provided the match day Rubislaw atmosphere and gave the team the lift whenever it was both needed and earned!
Also thanks to our new clubhouse the "Aberdeen Squash & Rackets Club" who provided an excellent post match experience for players and supporters alike.
